Hexbug Inchworm Review

I hate bugs. They are creepy! Of course, my boys are fascinated with them. Aren't all boys? Well I think I found the perfect solution. Instead of my boys bringing in creepy crawlers in little jars, we bought them each a Hex Bug Inchworm. Hex Bugs are little robotic bugs sure to amuse any little boy. The Inchworm is a remote control crawling bug that fits in your hand. It can change direction, and is easy to control. The kids think these are just amazing! They race and battle them.

The price is right. The Hex Bug Inchworm retails for only $19.99. Not a bad price to save the shrill screams from bugs getting loose in the house! These are designed for kids 8 and up, but my 4 year old was able to control them himself when he got the remote away from his older brother.
Hex Bugs has a whole line of different bugs at different price points. I think I have found some stocking stuffers for this Christmas!

RedWeek Budget-Friendly TimeShare Rental Review and Giveaway Ends 8.3.11! ~CLOSED~

Winner has been picked and emailed! See below for who won!

Budget-Friendly

Timeshare Rentals. I know what your thinking. I thought it too. Until I got the opportunity to review RedWeek and see exactly what they were all about and I must say I was rather surprised. We've all either been on a timesheet tour that dragged on and on or we know someone who has. That's not what this was about.
This was different. The website was user friendly and easy to navigate. There were sections for people who were looking to rent a time share with listings from the shares owner. They were remarkably affordable and they had great locations from PTA Golf Week in Arizona to white sand beach locations from your wildest dreams. They had them all. They were affordable, easy to read, great ad layouts and detailed amenities.

They have a wish list for those to post an ad if they don't see what they are looking for.

They also have a direct buyer to seller section for buyers and sellers to connect without the costly middle man.

Another point that I thought was great was the community forum section. I thought it was great there were topic discussions on all sorts of things including how to prepare for a trip, safety, customs and a variety of other user generated topics.

There was one prompt that was a bit annoying. Upon each visit, a 'share this on Facebook' bar went across the screen. It wasn't enough to disrupt my visits as it was easy to close and didn't return until my next visit.

Overall, I was impress with RedWeek. I was quite surprised by the affordability of many of the vacations. Many of the vacations were things we would be able to afford on a budget. RedWeek gets a thumbs up from me. I know where we will be vacation shopping at next year!

Where did this company get it's name? The term “RedWeek,” in the timeshare industry means that a “red week” is the prime time to own a timeshare (for example, Christmas week at a ski lodge, etc.).

1.       Now for the good part.  Want to win a 2 year membership to RedWeek?

30 Minute Mozzarella

I love to cook and so do my children. We like to make pizza alot and one day we couldn't because we didn't have any cheese. My daughter asked why we couldn't make some..... Her question lead me to do a little research and I actually found a cheese making class at a local brewing supply store. I took the class and now make mozzarella, yogurt, and other dips/spreads i never thought about making at home!

30 minute mozzarella

you will need:
-a 6 to 8 quart stainless steal pot (aluminum or cast iron will not work well)
-a stainless steel or stong plastic slotted spoon
-a microwave safe bowl
-measuring spoon
-a thermometer

process:

crush 1/4 tablet of rennet and dissolve in 1/4 cu of cool unchlorinated water (set aside to use later)

add 1.5 tsp of citric acid (diluted in 1 cup col water) to the empty cold pot

pour the cold milk into your pot (pour quickly to mix well with the citric acid. this will brng the milk to the proper acidity to stretch well later)

Heat milk to 90F

At 90F remove the pot from burner and slowly add your rennet (stir in a top to bottom motion for 30 seconds) cover pot and leave undisturbed for 5-10 minutes.

check the curd (it will look like custard, with a clear separation between the curds and whey)

cut the curds into a 1'' checkerboard pattern.

Place back on stove and heat to 105F. At 105F turn off buner and contiunsly stirring for 2-5 minuted.

scoop the curds into a colander lined with 3x cheesecloth, pres the curd gently with your hand (pouring of as much whey as possible) place curds in microwavable bowl

microwave on HI for 30 seconds. (drain off whey) knead quickly as you would bread dough until it is smooth and shiny (may need to microwave 1-2 more times)

add 1 tsp salt (more or less o taste, can also add garlic salt, paprika, hot peppers, etc)

At this point it should be soft and pliable enough to stretch like taffy.

(my 4 year old helped with this picture)

form into a ball and drop in ice water to cool for 15 minutes, then refrigerate.

We like to use the cheese to make pizza, on crackers, etc. You can also save the whey and use it to cook with in soups, breads, pizza dough, etc- but they are recipes for another day.

MyClyns Personal Germ Protectant Spray Review

Have you ever been out with your family on a camping trip or just out an about for an everyday outing and had an unexpected accident happen?  Sure, we all have.  What did you do? What could you do?  Well I have found the best thing in the world to keep in your purse, diaper bag, or car for those just in case moments.  What is it?

What on earth is it? Well it is the only germ-fighting spray that you can use for your eyes, mouth, nose, and all cuts.  It seems to be the one thing you can go to for anything.

We used it a few times and it seems to do the job that it needs to.  I did not try it in the eyes or mouth but did try it on a nose cut and a few other cuts.  It did not appear to burn or sting.  I myself have not been able to try it but other members of my family did and they liked it.
