Have you ever tried to put a little girls hair in pig tails or even a pony tail? Not always the easiest. My daughter turns 2 next month and I am trying to do something daily with her hair to get her use to having it touched. It's been a fun experience to say the least.

Thrifty Thursdays
One thing I've learned, is cheaper is not always better. So many people I know are so quick to get things at Walmart as a way to save money. I am fine with shopping at Walmart, but you really do get what you pay for. Especially when you buy clothing. I have 4 boys. One of the best "thrifty" things I can do is keep my kids clothing lasting as long as possible. Take this shirt:I bought this 6 years ago from The Children's Place. It is currently on my youngest son, and it was even used on my nephew. That is 5 boys!
Then there is this:
That is after 1 boy! Cheap rarely lasts 2 kids.
I will admit, I am sometimes surprised by the "cheap" clothes.
So how can you be thrifty while buying brand name? The best way is to shop the sales. I sign up for email alerts for my favorite stores. Most times the sales match the cheaper brands and the clothes last way longer! Even if you don't have a bigger family, most second hand and consignment stores will take unstained brand name clothing. This can be a great way to fund the next size you need.

BrytonPick Floss In Seconds Reviews
Oral hygine is important, and most of us, myself included, are not great with flossing.
BrytonPick makes cleaning between teeth easy, fast and discreet
Designed, developed and tested by dental professionals.
Solution for on-the-go or alternative for those that are unable to floss
Made of flexible stainless steel and plastic holder
Blunt cleaning edges are thin as the finest floss (0.0019")
Re-usable up to 30 days (germ-resistand stainless steel).
Cleanse with napking or water. Store in its cary-pouch
When I first took the Bryton Pick out of the package, I was sceptical. I have sensitive teeth, and have had dental issues as a result of my pregnancies, so I was excited at the chance to give this a try.
The concept is a great one, who hasn't been out and had something stuck between your teeth, right? This product solves that problem! Easily fits in a credit card sized pouch that can slip in your purse or wallet.
The pick it self is small and discreet.
The stainless steel pick slides in between your teeth easy enough, and will form to the unique shape of your teeth with use.
When I first tried this, I cringed. The feeling of the stainless steel between my teeth made my skin crawl. I found that I had less control with this than with regular dental floss, and my gums began to bleed. I have tried the Bryton Pick on several occasions, and I just can't do it.
I love the idea, and I think this would work great for most people, just not those with super sensitive teeth.
Buy the Bryton Pick
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Confessions of a stay at home mom.......
In April I will be celebrating 10 years with my wonderful husband. We have 5 children 8 and under, I home school, try to keep up on housework, and over the years have lost myself.
When I first met my husband, I was young, and took good care of my self. I did my hair, wore make up, and just took care in my appearance. I was not "high maintenance" but I felt I was balanced. Then the family started. I had 1 baby, and of course, I was the last of my priorities. Then, 3 months later, I was pregnant again!
Now I have had 3 c-sections, 5 children, and cringe when I look in the mirror. I have gained weight, rarely wear make up, and have my hair in a pony tail 99% of the time. My husband tells me I am beautiful, but I don't buy it!
So I decided enough is enough! I have not bought my self clothing, accessories, or make up in ages! I am going to change it!
My challenge to myself is:
Every morning, put on some make up.
It's a small thing, but a start. I feel better about my self when I put in the effort. When I feel better about myself, I am in a better mood. This affects my patience with my children, and the way I interact with other people.
My long term goal is to start exercising again, loose the baby weight, and start some kind of hobby.
This is something I know a lot of mothers struggle with, and I challenge other mothers to do this with me. I know it is a small thing, but the small things can have a huge impact on our daily lives. Whose with me?
