Punkin Booty Bits: Review and Giveaway Ends July 12th! ~CLOSED~

I chose to review Punkin Booty Bits Wipe Solution because after using it for the last 6 months I felt this deserved a review for many reason.

*If you have extremely sensitive skin, we recommend that you choose unscented.  Our products are lightly scented, as we do not want to overwhelm with a strong scent or botherpeople with allergies, however some scents are stronger than others.  We want to be able to accommodate those who do prefer a stronger scent by adding an option for extra scent.

**Punkin Booty Bits does NOT contain: Lead, chemicals, SLS/SLES(Sodium Laureth Sulfate), Cocomide DEA, parabens, phthalates, surfactants, propylene glycol, alcohol, detergents, or dyes and has not been tested on animals.

When I first started thinking about using cloth diapers on my soon to be born baby I wondered what I would use as wipes.  However I had no idea anything existed except the typical store wipes.  After joining a certain forum and reading more and more on cloth diapers and such I found out there were ways to make cloth wipes and solutions out there to replace all the chemicals in disposable wipes.

I ran across something called Punkin Booty Bits.  I was wondering what on Earth was this stuff and why on Earth did it have such a weird name.  I researched them just a bit and got rave reviews from some of my forum friends and decided to order some.

I went to the website and just looked around at first trying to decide if I wanted to really order something.  Once I decided to order I had to decide what to order.  So here is my first order:

So lets start with the sampler pack. The smells were terrific.  Opening up each pack was like opening a little piece of heaven.  They were shaped in hearts, which totally melted my heart.  I do have to say out of the sampler my favorite scents were the Lavender (but I am partial to all things lavender) and the Blueberry.  Although all the scents were great.  They dissolved very quickly in the 2 cups of hot water.  And they still smelled good after about 3 days of sitting.  Finally I added some to some cloth wipes and placed in a wipe warmer.  We got about 50 wipe uses out of one "heart" and not once did they smell bad or sour.  The solution did not aggravate my baby's skin either.  It did not leave any residue and was almost as fresh as a nice warm bath.  I have even added some to a small sprayer for when we are out and about and it works great!  Sometimes when I get low if I forget to order in enough time I split a "heart" into 2 cups hot water and it still does a good job (but not the best obviously!) I was overall impressed with the actual bits samplers :)

Next is the travel foam in Lavender (of course!).  This was a little awkward for me at first.  I was putting WAY to much on a wipe thinking I needed so much.  Boy did I get a HUGE whiff of Lavender!  But after a few uses I finally got it down.  Just pump a little onto the wipe or directly onto the baby and wipe!  Done!  Repeat if necessary.  Now is it my favorite? Nope not really.  I tend to use it more to do a quick clean of my hands on car rides when I have no water.  It is functional and great but just not for me.

Last...is the powder.  I got this in Peppermint.  The smell was divine.  I thought about Christmas alot.  I loved the smell and really did not want to use it just because I wanted to sniff it all day.  I added a little everyday to the bin of dirty diapers.  It really helped to keep the smell down on the diapers.  Since I use a garbage pail and lid for my diaper bin sometimes the bin can get pretty smelly.  I never once had an issue with a dirty smell after using this. (Note: I am currently out and totally shocked to the smell I have!! I totally need some more powder!!)

Now on to the gritty details...the price.  Is it worth the money? Yes!! I do really think so.  The sampler packs cost around $5.25 and you get to decide on 5 scents and it makes around 40 cups of solution.  Or you can buy just one scent for $4.99.  The foaming Pumkin comes in several sizes and prices to meet your needs.  And the powder comes in a shaker and refill form.

I have made several orders since my initial order.  Sadly I can never decide which scent to get so I always pick the sampler!

I have also tried the Lavender Better Booty Balm.  It is amazing and makes my baby's tooshie smell great!  Great for cloth diapers and compact (well I tried the travel one!)  The price is great and the smell is awesome!

There are so  many different scents to choose from and so many different items that can help with making your cloth diapering (or any other reason!!) wonderful and smelling great!
